Greetings fellow imbibers! This blog launches my foray into spreading the gospel of Scotch and fine wine – can I get an Amen? My idea is to apply my affinity for thorough scientific investigation ( sorry it’s the engineer in me ) into the joys and perils of fine wines and spirits for those similarly afflicted. Since I’m an impatient SOB, I always want to get to the conclusion – “Hell yeah I’d buy that again ” or “Hobos wouldn’t drink this swill ” . As are result I won’t bore you with fancy tasting terms . Google wine tasting flavor wheel and you will see what I mean !
I have been drinking red wine daily in the name of research ..if you keep telling yourself that it eventually becomes true … so I can share my findings ! Tough job , but I’m willing to do it for my friends and blog followers
All too often I have friends who gravitate to what they are familiar with , whether it be wine or Scotch . Prime example for whisky is The Glenlivit is the best-selling single malt Scotch in America . Certainly a great dram, but there is a fantastic array of smaller single malts Scotch available . I often encounter people whose wine taste are based simply on geographical regions. Patriotism aside, this notion severely limits your experience in the world of wine
